the sayeau family

Ever wonder what it would be like to win the lottery? Yeah, same. I almost thought I would ask Brad and Lydia when I did their session a few months back. They didn’t quite win the lottery BUT they did win a session with me and that’s basically the same thrill, except it won’t get them a yacht or pay their kids tuition.

Kidding. But I did have a lot of fun photographing these guys and their little family. When I messaged Lydia to notify her that she had won one of my give-backs, she mentioned that she would like to have the photographs taken near where she grew up. This kind of thing always gets me excited because it often removes me from my comfort zone which is typically the Antigonish County area. This would take me to Pictou County for an early morning date with the Sayeau’s. Not knowing what to expect, I was fully blown away.

Apple Orchard? Check.

Fall colours? Check.

Ocean views and waterfront access? Check.

Brad’s bomb-ass denim jacket? Check.

Cute af babies? Check. Check.

It’s these kinds of factors that keep photographers like me bursting with excitement and I’ll be honest, blogging this on a chilly March day is giving me all the warm feels. I loved reliving this little session and I hope I get to hang out with these cool cats and kittens when all this stuff frigs off.
