Laura & Branden

2020 was a flaming shitheap of a year for a lot of people. Some came out with nothing but a bad haircut while others, like Laura and Branden, felt a harder hit due to the pandemic. I have a particular soft spot for all of the couples who were meant to say “I do” and had their wedding plans crushed due to pandemic restrictions. It’s heartbreaking.

Laura and Branden planned a romantic fall wedding that was meant to happen in October. It didn’t. Instead, we photographed these images on their ‘would have been’ wedding day and made the best of it. While it was far from the day they had planned, it was still really beautiful that we were able to commemorate their date near their home in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

While I was really sad for these two, I’m eagerly counting down down the days until their rescheduled summer wedding!
