emily, kevin & layla // antigonish family portraits

I had a really hard time picking favourites when it came to Emily & Kevin’s family photos. Can you see why? These guys are so heckin’ sweet and their babe, Layla, I mean c’monnnnn! You’d never know it but we only set this session up about four hours before we shot it. I had a cancellation and I couldn’t let a night of great weather go to waste. We didn’t have a whole lot of time to plan but we didn’t really need it - sometimes simple and quick yields much better results than when a lot of planning goes into something, but ain’t that life summed up?

We found a few spots within five minutes of their home, managed to nail great light and even better, WE DIDN’T DISTURB BEDTIME!

I’m so glad I didn’t have to waste the light that night - we truly had fun and it shows! :)
