This wasn’t Jamie and Renée’s first time in front of my cameras. Over a year ago, I photographed their engagement photos. You see, these two were meant to get married in Italy but Covid wrenched that. They made a backup plan. They were going to elope with East Coast Pop-Up Weddings at Oceanstone in Halifax.

Yup, sure do! See you then!

I did not see them then.

Instead, I went into early labour with Arlo and Halifax’s coolest wedding duo, Ash and Rich, stepped in and made sure these two had the coolest wedding photos possible. I was so happy to hear that they secured the best of the best to photograph their long-awaited wedding day.

These two were going to be in my area vacationing and thought it would be a great opportunity for a little update, but this time they brought their dogs, Pepper and Rankin. It was also a hell of a lot warmer than the last time we were together so that was a bonus.

As Jamie put it: “When you find a woman who will get up on a vacation day to jump into the Atlantic Ocean with you, fully clothed, for a picture, marry her.”
